SUMMARY
This exceptionally interesting house inside the Perimeter "A" of the Historic Center of Mexico City, where two irrigation ditches or apantles ran along the front: the Acequia Real that took products to the central market of the capital, in the Zócalo, and the Acequia de Regina or La Merced that crossed this neighborhood, which is among the oldest in the metropolis; although it has been in ruins, the solidity of its constructive elements allowed its analysis, recovery and restoration.
To have made the discovery known and to have sought its restoration, for which the Fideicomiso del Centro Histórico de la Ciudad de México (Mexico City Historical Center Trust) was instrumental, and it could have been recovered and above all because it was about to be saved from being demolished. It is an example of how UNAM's academia and the political and economic interest of Mexico City and federal authorities combine. Once there are facilities to improve the living conditions that are currently common in this section of the city. This house remains as an example of the popular houses of the capital city, which combine elements of the Mesoamerican and European world; yes, with a quality construction, project and building, although it is a single floor, but very well built. And also because the place will be dedicated to educational work and in the future will serve as a museum of what Mexico City was like at the end of the 16th century
