Interview with Martin Coronel Fierro

Artist, researcher and curator of the exhibition: “Pedro Coronel. 100 years, an infinite route”. Martín Coronel Fierro recounts his intervention in the curatorship, as a responsibility with the Mexican heritage to reconfigure who his father was, and the personal influences that led him to discover himself to, in turn, manifest himself through his art. Surrounded by great artists of the time and mentors who led him to become interested in plastic arts and to work as a painter and sculptor. Pedro Coronel stands out for his universal art, expressed through his Mexican roots.

Starting from the interest in the vindication of their parents, as artists; Martín Coronel describes the life and work of his mother Ana Teresa Fierro, who was Diego Rivera's apprentice, teacher, innovative artist and woman with great political and social sense.

By way of analysis, Martín Coronel makes an opinion regarding the global, economic and health difficulties to which the country is exposed and calls for the conservation and preservation of artistic expressions, as well as innovation in the cultural field.
