Abstract
These are the Memories of the Sixth International History, Architecture, Sculpture, Urbanism and Funerary Customs Colloquium which central topic was The Woman in the Funerary Scene, a very interesting, actual and innovative topic. It is the summary of 20 great quality studies written by investigators of eight different countries and nine States of Mexico.
In synthesis, female prehispanic burials were showcased; five saints relics from different centuries; the architecture of Plautilla Brici in the six hundredth Rome; biographies and images of outstanding women, so as sculptures, gravestones and funerary monuments of female characters in nineteenth century cemeteries; modern and neomayan funerary architecture and finally funerary customs in San Cristóbal de las Casas taking into account the parish records of the XVI and XIX centuries, the grieving of the women at the end of the XIX century and the funerary practices in patrimonial cemeteries.
The Colloquium was performed virtually for three days: August 23, 24 and 25, 2022. The presentations were recorded so they can be seen at any time. The investigations were exposed in these presentations, which are completely stored in these Memories.
