Abstract
The Baroque is the syncretism between the European and American world materialized in an artistic expression. It reflects the vision of a nascent culture that marked in a particular way the ways of life and the places where these buildings and works of art are located.
This publication offers the traveler an itinerary by state with some of the most representative buildings in Puebla, Tlaxcala and Veracruz, in order to recognize the importance and uniqueness of the built baroque style heritage. In addition to this, it complements Dr. Juan Benito Artigas with his contributions on specific works from the states of Oaxaca, Hidalgo, Guerrero, Tlaxcala, Chiapas and Puebla.
The architectural route proposed in this book has a touristic and cultural purpose. It seeks to make tourism aware of the sum of efforts and technological challenges involved in the construction of these buildings, so that beyond perceiving them as ruins, they can have an approach towards the concept of a monument.
