Presentation of the Itineraries of Alcalá de Henares

The Honourable president of the University of Alcalá de Henares presents a brief personal introduction to the publication of The Itineraries of Alcalá de Henares in the current edition of the MEC-EDUPAZ Journal, a result of the collaboration between his institution and the National Autonomous University of Mexico. This shared effort is the origin of the present text, set in a multicultural and interdisciplinary context, which conforms the articles contained in this issue, the brightness of the strength of a historical city-university as emblematic as Alcalá de Henares, which has a modern and contemporary presence. The Rector's words exalt the importance of such a substantial effort, resultin in the present digital publication which documents the relevance of a close intercontinental academic collaboration between two Universities, which at the same time share a common language, a common history and a close identification of the potential of their heritage resources.
