Abstract

This collective and monographic publication on Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) in Spain integrates a diversity of resources for the research, management and legal regulation of ICH, as an outstanding example of interdisciplinary work that addresses a variety of aspects that demonstrate the theoretical and methodological complexity of this framework of knowledge. It seeks to establish a framework for an interdisciplinary understanding of ICH from legal, historical, social, educational and technological approaches, highlighting the importance of coordinating political, academic and social efforts to preserve and value these cultural manifestations. It is the result of the work of the research group on Territory, History and Digital Cultural Heritage (TEHIPACD) of the Catholic University of Avila. This work is part of the European project MEDITELLER, funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Commission.
