Global Digital Compact 2024

Abstract

An international document aimed at promoting international cooperation in addressing the challenges of an increasingly digitalized and unequal world. The main objective of this document is to ensure the use of digital and emerging technologies for the benefit of all humanity, while promoting respect for human rights and fostering sustainable development. Therefore, actions are also proposed to promote equitable access to digital resources, privacy protection, cybersecurity, and internet governance, especially given the impact of artificial intelligence (AI). In conclusion, it emphasizes the importance of digital literacy and the creation of a universal, accessible, and inclusive digital environment to contribute to narrowing the technological gap that prevails between the most and least developed countries.
