Abstract

The Objective of this dissertation is to reveal the history of San Jerónimo Aculco Lídice, as well as the procedure that was carried out to build niches in its temple. It includes the background on the burial places in the country, and in particular, in the capital, metropolitan area of Mexico City, of the history of the temple of San Jerónimo Aculco, currently the Parish of San Jerónimo Lídice. Subsequently, we explain when the Catholic Church allowed cremation, and in turn, when the construction of niches in temples was allowed, what limitations there are in those that are historical, and finally we focus on what happened in the one in San Jerónimo.
