Abstract
2026 Call for Applications: MEC-EDUPAZ Social Service Program, UNAMTo students interested in completing their community service through the Political Psychology Program “Education for Peace and the Development of Nonviolent Lifestyles,” registration code UNAM SS-2026-12/156-3206, SS-2026-12/ 156-3206, whose objective is to organize interdisciplinary projects for change, innovation, and the development of nonviolent lifestyles in public, urban, and heritage spaces; systematizing new learning experiences for decision-making that enable sustained revitalization in collaboration with diverse groups.
We invite you to support us in the application of diagnostic tools for subsequent intervention, using interrelational psychological models oriented toward the development of individual and collective capacities, which promote creative activities aimed at stimulating: a) Interdependence b) Conflict mediation, and c) The enhancement of cognitive resources applied to collective psychosocial processes aimed at improving the environment, quality of life, and self-sufficiency at the local level.
And also, to those interested in performing their social service for the program “Model of Cultural Economy and Knowledge Innovation: From Heritage to Comprehensive Regional Development” (UNAM code SS-2026-12/ 156-3207, whose objective is to organize multidisciplinary teams focused on enhancing comprehensive human, cultural, and environmental development through the social production of the built environment, by promoting the proper use, care, renovation, and adequate equipping of heritage assets (local, vernacular, monumental, tangible, and intangible) in the historic center and other urban areas, within a framework of everyday lifestyles that make the organization of production chains, educational options for self-sufficiency, and the utilization of heritage assets (tangible and intangible)—oriented toward the development of sustainable, cultural, and scientific tourism, as well as health recovery in healthy environments—alternatives for the comprehensive development of the area.
In particular, this social service facilitates the professional development and future certification of participants, as it aims to harness the potential for technological innovation, creativity, and social solidarity inherent in our university partnerships to validate a case study that can subsequently be replicated in other locations
